The entry level model of the new X Series, the X100 features the same slick and fast playability of the higher-end X Series models with Meranti body wood and hard rock Maple neck, Jatoba for fingerboard with 400mm(15.75”) radius, two high output humbucker pickups, and 6-point tremolo system available in three open pore finishes: Black, Black Cherry Burst, and Black Burst.
The Meranti body has similar tonal characteristics to Mahogany with a strong mid-midrange that will cut through the mix with authority for rhythm while providing sweet highs for singing leads.
The Powersound PSEG-1F & PSEG-1R (H-H) pickups provide classic humbucker punch and tone with a quality/value quotient that cannot be beat.
6-SCREW VINTAGE TREMOLO
The vintage style 6-screw tremolo bridge transfers more of the strings’ vibrational energy into the body of the guitar for greater acoustic resonance while providing excellent tuning stability.
ERGONOMIC BODY CONTOUR
Both comfort and appearance was enhanced with an elegantly contoured arm cut on the top. This modification to the body has been carefully laid out on the bodies of the X guitars for maximum comfort without removing unnecessary amounts of wood. The lines of the X body are graceful for aesthetic beauty as well as for ergonomic considerations.
The hard maple neck provides strength and stability while delivering a defined and punchy sound that mates well with virtually any type of body and fingerboard woods.
Jatoba is a very dense and stiff wood that makes it ideal for the fingerboard usage. Jatoba produces strong fundamentals and volume projection with an emphasis on the high-mids.
